By cutting off power in a fraction of a second if a ground-fault is detected, Leviton Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) GFCI receptacles and circuit breakers are engineered to help protect people from the hazards of electric shock and electrocution. Ground-Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) GFCI protection is required by the National Electrical Code for protection in all wet or damp locations within the home. This GFCI comes with a 15' cord (12/3) attached. Unit is rated at 20 amps.
